Petals and Promises Bridal Editorial at The Old Barn | Utah Wedding Inspiration

This shoot was extra special for me—not just because of the gowns, the florals, or the dreamy barn setting—but because I got to collaborate with a dear friend who I’ve watched shine in so many roles over the years.

Lindsey, the new owner of Petals and Promises Bridal, recently asked me to photograph a styled shoot for the store. And when I say I’ve known her forever—I mean we actually went to high school together. But our friendship really began years later through our creative work—her as a model and me behind the camera. We've worked together on multiple projects, including the Pose n Shoot Workshop, where I'll actually be teaching and speaking this October! (Cue the excited nerves!)

So when she reached out to shoot a full bridal editorial for Petals and Promises, I was all in.

A Modern Barn Wedding Editorial with 12 Models + Gorgeous Gowns

This was a full team effort: 12 incredible models, each wearing two different looks from Petals and Promises—think bridal elegance, bridesmaid chic, and everything in between.

One model played the bride, while the others represented her bridesmaids, giving us a dreamy, cohesive wedding party vibe. Each gown was styled to perfection, showing off the wide range of dresses Petals and Promises has to offer—everything from classic silhouettes to trendy textures.

We shot everything at The Barn in Old Paradise, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. The soft natural light, rustic wood tones, and open fields created the most romantic backdrop for these bridal looks.

Floral Details by Flowers by Laura 🌸

The floral artistry was provided by the incredible Flowers by Laura, and WOW—she knocked it out of the park. Every bouquet and arrangement felt lush, intentional, and elevated the entire shoot. From soft neutrals to bold pops of color, her work tied the entire vision together and made each look shine even more.

Capturing the Beauty + The Friendship Behind the Scenes

What made this shoot extra meaningful was not just the visual beauty—but the collaboration and trust behind it. Getting to work with Lindsey again, now as a business owner and creative director, felt like such a full-circle moment. She’s poured her heart into Petals and Promises, and I’m so proud of the work she’s doing to bring fresh energy and elegance to the Utah bridal scene.

Also… 12 models?! 24 dresses?! Let’s just say the energy was high and the creativity was flowing. It was such an inspiring day to be a part of.

Final Thoughts

This shoot was a reminder of why I love what I do—creating with people I care about, capturing beauty, and telling visual stories that celebrate love, fashion, and friendship.
